Our Partnership with Power To Be

At PoetSkis, we believe the mountains should be a place of freedom, connection, and possibility for everyone. That’s why we’re proud to partner with Power To Be, an organisation that shares our passion for making outdoor adventures accessible to all. Together, we’re creating opportunities for people living with barriers to experience the transformative power of nature.

Through this collaboration, PoetSkis will contribute a portion of its proceeds to Power To Be, supporting their programs that help individuals connect with the outdoors and discover their potential.

Additionally, PoetSkis provides product donations to support Power To Be's annual silent auction, helping raise the critical funds needed to sustain these life-changing programs.

But our collaboration doesn’t stop there. We’re also excited to contribute to fundraising initiatives like Power To Ski, where participants come together for an unforgettable weekend of skiing, bonding, and empowerment during a weekend of cat skiing and connection in the Monashee Mountains.

By joining forces with Power To Be, we’re taking steps to break down barriers and foster a more inclusive outdoor community. Together, we can empower more people to discover the freedom and joy of snow-sports, building a future where everyone can experience the mountains’ magic.

We are not just a snow sports company – we're a collective of creative adventurers from the Pacific Northwest, passionate about snowsports, the pursuit of flow, self expression, connection, and creating an impact.

We are working with youth organisations, First Nations and adaptive recreation organisations to use a portion of the funds we raise to build and develop programs that will benefit people facing barriers. We will strive to give them an opportunity to get more connected to themselves, to each other, to the environment, to creativity, to self expression and to flow.

Through our guided programs – from playful workshops to adventure therapy and guided trips – we create platforms for you to slow down, focus, and experience true transformation. We also deliver inspiring keynotes and facilitated experiences for conferences and training events.

We’re in the early stages of developing unique programs and activities to help those who are facing challenging life situations or have a harder time accessing the beautiful places and spaces we call our mountain playground.

At PoetSkis, we invite you to tap into the flow of nature’s rhythms, embracing transformative experiences both on and off the slopes. Co-founders Lee White and Chad Weir bring decades of experience in adventure therapy, mental health, creative expression, coaching and personal development, most importantly know the power of the mountains as a space for growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Chad brings over fifteen years in personal development and leadership coaching, with an equally long career in the ski industry. Time in the mountains has been deeply transformative for Chad, who, as a life and high-performance athletics coach, has guided countless people through rites of passage and transformational experiences. A true soul-skier with a complex relationship to the ski industry, Chad sees PoetSkis as his way to lead the change he wants to see in the world of skiing and snowboarding.

Lee has spent decades guiding peak experiences in the mountains. His work extends beyond the slopes, running Adventure Therapy programs for BC’s youth justice system, fostering early intervention through contemporary rites of passage. Raised in the wild landscapes of British Columbia and the Yukon, Lee’s life has been shaped by the awe of nature, and his most authentic expression is sharing that through adventure and art.
