Shape: Powder Longboards

An epic poem, or simply an epic, is a lengthy narrative poem typically about the extraordinary deeds of extraordinary characters who, in dealings with gods or other superhuman forces, give shape to the mortal universe for their descendants. The Epics are built for superhuman ski days, allowing riders to carve their mythic stories into the mountain. bestowing the riders with mythic stories to share for all eternity.

The Epics are our big mountain powder skis for effortless float, delivering an unforgettable surfy feeling. Wide enough for those dreamy powder days, yet directional with an early rise camber profile to keep you charging in aggressively in any terrain. The Epic’s name emphasizes the ski's powerful performance and poetic inspiration, suggesting a legendary experience on the slopes.

Crafted for a solid edge-to-edge hold with an assertive camber underfoot, it delivers exceptional touring agility for traversing to the steep and deep. A progressive sidecut enables these big boards to carve elegantly.  A full carbon fibre layer gives you ultra-light precision. A straight-grain poplar creates a soulful core that is pressed with eco resins. A layer of VDS ("Vibration Dampening System'') rubber for balanced dampening and a ski ready for anything. A balanced and responsive hybrid camber creates snappy snow surfing boards ready to launch from a Heli in the Alaska Chugach Range, or two turns down the Dambuster if you must.

These are not your average planks. Our skis and snowboards are handmade on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The components for our snowboards and skis are built in-house with an acute eye for detail, allowing us to maintain strict quality control over every build that leaves our shop.

Materials:

- Many of the larger snowsport companies use a foam core that is injected into the shell of the ski/board. Our boards are hand-built with grade AAA Poplar Wood Cores, which are vertically laminated and knot-free, giving our boards higher performance and longer life over foam-injected cores.
- We then add a layer of VDS ("Vibration Dampening System”) rubber for balanced dampening and a composite layer (with the option of adding a carbon fibre layer for increased performance) to improve torsional stiffness and responsiveness. This creates a well-balanced core that translates vibration evenly throughout each piece.
- We place a Titanal Binding Plate underfoot, which delivers torsional stability and dampening for precision power transmission throughout the ski matrix.
- Our signature Carbonium Topsheets are reinforced with a tough, carbon-textured PBT (Polybutylene terephthalate) material to make your boards last longer and look better.
- Every ski and snowboard is finished with extreme care, leaving a lasting impression on every piece we build.
- We only use premium-quality composites, including Carbon Fibre, Fibreglass, and Titanium, to tailor the flex and feel of your snowboard or skis. Specific fibre weave and orientation are chosen to maximize performance and feel in each shape we build.
- While offering a very smooth ride, these materials and construction offer the responsiveness required in a high-performance ski or snowboard, giving you a premium tool that will outperform and outlast your average ski or snowboard.

All mountain workhorse

I have done a full winter of heli ski and touring guiding on these boards and they are a reliable steadfast tool. Whether in deep tree blower or wide alpine cruising they continued to hold fast and help keep the fun rolling. The carbon layup is great on the long uptracks, and keep them lively in the crud. Stoked for another winter on them.
